本篇反映全省科学技术活动和教育事业的发展情况。

科学技术部分主要包括了全省科技活动的规模、构成、布局和发展状况的资料，收录了全省有关部门年度的科技统计数据。反映科研机构、大中型工业企业和高等院校三大科技活动主体单位的机构数、人员数和经费收支等情况，根据省科技厅、省教育厅、省人力资源和社会保障厅、省统计局科技统计综合年报汇总。专利申请受理量和授权量由省知识产权局提供。

教育部分包括高等教育、中等教育、初等教育、幼儿教育和各种类型的各级成人教育等，主要指标有各级各类学校的校数、在校学生数、招生数、毕业生数、教职工数、教师数等。教育统计资料主要由省教育厅提供，技工学校的资料来源于省人力资源和社会保障厅。

本篇资料由省统计局社会和科技统计处整理提供。

Brief Introduction

Main Content and Source of Data

Data in this chapter show the basic conditions of the activities of science and technology and development of Fujian’s education.

In addition, data on the technical training schools are provided by the Department of Labor and Social Security.Data on science and technology cover mainly the scale, composition, distribution and development of the scientific and technological activities, including the statistical data of the departments concerned under the provincial government on science and technology in the table on the basic conditions of the scientific and technological activities show in a summary way the number of institutions and personnel in scientific and technological institutions, large and medium-sized industrial enterprises and universities and colleges, the three main bodies engaged in the scientific and technological activities as well as their income and expenditure. Data are collected and tabulated in accordance with the annual reporting scheme on science and technology statistics of the Provincial Commission of Science, Provincial Commission of Education, Provincial Human Resource and Social Guarantee Bureau,Provincial Office of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence and the provincial Statistical Bureau.Data on the number of patent applications examined and certified are provided by Fujian Patent Office.

Data on education cover the situations on higher education, secondary education, primary education, kindergartens and all kinds of adult education etc. The main indicators cover the number of schools of various levels and categories, students enrolled, new students enrolled, graduates, staff and workers and number of teachers etc. Data on education are mainly provided by the Provincial Commission of Education.

Data in this chapter are provided and compiled by the Division of Social, Science and Technology Statistics of Fujian Provincial Bureau of Statistics.
